Some of my great yard sell buys include a tub of white buttons, 2 containers of costume jewelry, and 2 pairs name brand shoes for my 2 year old, all for $1 each. Plus I got this beautiful upholstered chair for that's right...one dollar.
The next morning I got several scraps of fabric for $1. I use these for a lot of different projects, head boards, lamp shades, putting details on furniture, pillows etc...
But the best scores where at the auction. I got a box full of vintage maps and post cards including a disney ticket stubb from 1968 when the price for an adult was $4.75. I also got a set of 6 collectors mugs from The Corner Store, a wall picture, a game table top, a hat box and an antique sewing machine all for $1 each. But this is the great part, after I paid for the hat box and the antique sewing machine 2 seperate people came up to me; one bought the hats inside the hat box (which I didn't even know where in there when I bought it) for $5 and the other lady bought the sewing machine from me for $10, how awesome is that.
I would say that my weekend was pretty successful, I hope next weekend will be just as great.
